I hope you will all find the stories entertaining and informative. I travel around the countryside with horses quite a bit and experience all kinds of training. My new life in Wyoming has introduced me to Western riding . I'm lucky enough to be able to help in some of the daily cow work on a beautiful ranch out here. I am anxious to learn many things I see with the Western horses and add it to my English reperatoire.

The point is that we never stop learning. I love horses and I love teaching. I left Aiken, South Carolina two years ago with no horses. I sold my beautiful paradise farm and bought a new place here in Wyarno, Wyoming which I have named Paradise West. I have started building some cross country type jumps for schooling and training purposes and invite all of you to come visit with your horses. It's a great piece of ground with lots of undulating terrain and water running through it. I have lots of schooling show jumps as well and will eventually have an arena of some kind but right now grass is the footing of choice.

So, two years later I now have a fantastic 13.3 pony [named Money], a lovely palomino gelding that I am producing as a show jumper for a client in California [Trygger], an eight year old quarter horse gelding that I feel is going to be outstanding at anything he does [Capo] and a three year old thoroughbred gelding bred for polo but lucky for me grew way too big [Wahoo].

I am blessed by the kindness and generosity of many new friends that have made all of this possible. All of these horses are makeovers to the world of dressage and jumping so there will be lots of stories of disasters and messes as we climb the ladder to greatness.

The world of horses has so many ups and downs. It was always helpful to me to be able to discuss the not so great moments with my horses with people I really respected. I was always happy to know that it wasn't just me that felt useless and even the super human Olympians I learned from felt that way too. And there have been many of those times. Mistakes, and even time off make us better riders, students and teachers. For me it is about the journey. There was a time for me that it was all about qualifications and proving something to the outside world.

It boils down to the same things over and over. We always need to go back to the basics. We always need to RIDE BETTER! So please join me in a few adventures. Please send your comments and tell me your experiences.

This website will give you specific tools to make your riding better. I assure you. Give it a try!
